This is a fantastic opportunity for talented individuals with strong hands-on experience in various aspects of building and construction, and a good working knowledge of factory procedures, to jump right in and become a key player for an established firm with over 22 years design/manufacturing industry experience.

Our ideal candidate is extremely efficient and can work very well with all trades on a construction site to ensure that product installations can propely take place during their time on site. Although technically a "consultant" position, on every job you will need to roll up your sleeves and dig in to make sure that the product is installed and working properly. Heavy lifting is not required, but you definitely should not be afraid to help out and get your hands dirty.

Having a background in all phases of construction comes into play here because although you will not be performing other trade work for this role, your extensive knowledge of field conditions and what is possible on a job site will be very important in getting your work completed. No one will be able to pull the wool over your eyes in terms of what is and isn't possible in the various trade work.

Equal in importance is your ability to provide superior client service, by making every client's experience with our company enjoyable. In other words, we hope that you can be a pleasure to work with with everyone involved in your day to day activities. If the GC wants you over to his house for dinner on Sunday night, we've achieved our goal.

This role will require extensive travel ranging from local to international destinations. If you are not able to be on the road most of the year, then this position is not for you.

You will also be spending time at our factories, and visiting job sites before installation on occasion, to make sure that conditions are adequate for installation.

Union membership is not required, but being able to work on jobs effectively where Union members are involved is very important.

Some of the Responsibilities of this Position Will Include:
  • Working with the Project Managers to help communicate with the client to make sure that the site is fully prepared for installation.
  • Reviewing architectural and shop drawings of our products on site and in advance of your visit to ready the site for installation.
  • Work with all building trades on site to help ensure that our work is completed in a timely manner.
  • Supervise teams of 4 to 8 skilled and unskilled laborers to carry out installation of our products.
  • Communicate effectively with job foremen and other construction executives when on site to make sure that you have the help you need before you start, and also that they are completely satisfied with the product before you leave.
  • Demonstrating all operation and maintenance procedures to appropriate people on site during your installation visit.
  • Provide ongoing product support for clients after the job has been installed, by responding to ongoing maintenance and operation calls on the phone or in person.
Minimum Qualifications/Background:
  • 5+ years of field installation work or factory assembly with products involving stainless steel components and/or water.
  • If you have experience working with water features of any kind, this is a HUGE PLUS.
  • Expert knowledge in working with construction drawings during the building process.
  • Expert knowledge of all phases of building including framing, drywall, painting, light electrical, plumbing, and finish work.
  • Ability to work with all kinds of hand and other power tools.
  • Working knowledge of or hands-on experience with welding and polishing.
  • In short, you must be a precision minded, mechanically inclined individual with various life experience in a combination of general mechanical, carpentry, and construction trade work.
  • Experience as a Finish Carpenter is also helpful.
